April was a heady month for library-related news, and yes, we admit our ears were burning when the Rockridge News hit the neighborhood! The Library is Getting a Face Lift!
As spiffy as we all think the library is, some planned maintenance will necessitate a closure to allow for electrical, painting, and carpeting work to take place. While we're sad to see the doors close, we're excited the library will get to show off its new self come July. A New Way to Look at the Newberys
Lights, camera, action! The 90-Second Newbery Film festival, where kids craft short films to showcase their creative take on Newbery Medal books, came to the Rockridge Library for the third year in a row. This fun and funky film festival travels around the U.S. making stops at public libraries, theaters, and community-based organizations.
